KLEEM Organics Organic 20% Vitamin C Serum: Reviewed

I don't get enough sleep, or should I say, I basically don't sleep. I am pretty busy during the day with a 3 1/2 yr. old and a 4 1/2 month old. I am a happy mother, wife, homemaker, blogger, and product reviewer. After getting the 2 sweet babies in bed, I look over the remains of the day and begin the catching up process with housework, list making, baby laundry, cloth diaper and cloth wipes preparation for the next day, blogging, emails, etc. By the time I am done or at least too exhausted to go any further, it is 2 am. I then "nap" until about 6 or 6:30 am the next day. My face shows my lack of actual deep sleep. I have dark circles and my skin is sometimes blotchy. I am happy that now at 32 I rarely get acne and my face is smoother. I started the oil cleansing method and sulfate free journey 2 years ago and my skin thanks me. I just need to do something about my dark circles and the fine lines around my eyes. Patience is a virtue, I am working on getting my skin to where I want it to be.

I learned about the importance of Vitamin C for skin about 6 months ago and have since tried several brands. The current brand I am trying is a bit different in the fact that it is in a 1 oz airless pump bottle. Airless pump bottles protect products by preventing too much exposure to air. Most serums I have tried have a dark amber or dark cobalt blue glass bottle with a dropper. The dark color is nice as it prevents excess light to absorb into the bottle, which decreases the potency and purity of the product over time. However, the problem with the dropper bottles is that the lid is removed every time you want to use the product, which causes air and dust and anything else possibly contaminating the bottle. With an airless pump, when you depress the pump, it creates a vacuum effect, drawing the product upwards and out the spout. I had been quite familiar with these types of pumps, but with creams and not with liquids.

I had tried the KLEEM Vitamin C for the first time, and was perhaps too hasty with dispensing at first. It sprayed directly out and fast! Luckily it is not something that will stain or leave me sticky. I am thinking perhaps it would be a good idea to have a little insert put into the packaging explaining not to press to hard or fast as this could be a messy problem.

I have been testing this for about 2 weeks. The Vitamin C is very nice and has a light fragrance. No dyes or fragrances have been added to this, so what I am noticing is the fresh scent of witch hazel. It is a nice quality Vitamin C Serum and has beneficial added ingredients, some of which are Jojoba Oil, Witch Hazel, Aloe Vera, Dandelion Extract and Horse Tail Extract.

Jojoba Oil: is naturally moisturizing for skin, and is similar to the skin's own naturally produced oil (sebum). It is an excellent skin-softening and skin-nourishing moisturizer.

Witch Hazel: assists with de-puffing areas such as around the eyes. Witch Hazel is very cooling and soothing to irritated areas. It has tannins which tone and have astringent properties.

Aloe Vera: is very effective in treating a variety of skin conditions and irritation. It is very moisturizing and allows the skin to heal quickly and naturally with minimal scarring. It is also cooling and soothing to inflamed, irritated acne spots and reduces redness.

Dandelion: is rich in vitamins A, C, and E and boast detoxing and anti-aging properties.

Horse Tail Extract: is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory that heals wounds, rashes, acne, and other skin problems. It assists collagen production (due to silica).

This serum is not sticky, greasy or heavy. It feels nice on my skin, and provides a cooling sensation. It is effective for promoting toned skin, elasticity, and boosting collagen production.

I am able to apply it under make up (foundation, powder, eye shadow) without build up or interaction. The airless bottle keeps it fresh and sterile. It absorbs quickly and easily. I like how this product contains certified organic ingredients, is made in USA and is not tested on animals.

Kleem Organics has a money back guarantee.
