Royal Formula Argan Oil Hair Mask Review

  • Today's review will be quick as I tried the product and realized that it was not for me. If you normally use dimethicone/silicones in your hair, you may love this. :)

This was sent to me for my honest review. I was so excited to try it as I love Argan oil and natural ingredient hair masks. Sadly, I used this Royal Formula Argan Oil hair mask once before realizing it has dimethicone (silicone) in it. I do not use this specific ingredient on my hair as it coats the hair. The consistency of this hair mask is thick and creamy. I like how a little can go a long way, even with thick hair. Did my bleached blonde (dry, damaged) hair feel soft and silky after using this? Yes! However, silicone-based polymer ingredients coat the hair. Over time hair can look healthier than it really is. If the silicone was left out of this ingredient list, I would give this product a second look. I like the hydrolyzed silk in this product, which assists with slip, detangling, moisture, and strength.

The fragrance is pleasant (reminds me of high-end salon products) but definitely smells synthetic and strong. I would have liked a more natural scent such as rosewater, rose essential oil, sandalwood oil, or lavender essential oil. Peppermint essential oil would have been an option as well to assist with getting blood flow moving in the scalp. I am dissatisfied that Argan Oil is listed towards the bottom of the ingredients in the jar. Sadly, after looking at the ingredient list, this is not 100% natural. It is listed as 100% organic. I love that it is made in the USA and cruelty-free. It is mostly natural (which is still better than a lot of products on the market.)

Here are some of the ingredients: (the ones I was excited about)

    Ingredients:

Hair Restorative Ingredient # 1: Pure Argan Oil
Native to Morocco, Argan Oil is often called "liquid gold" 100% Pure Argan Oil absorbs quickly to soften and smooth dry skin and hair. It controls frizz and replenishes moisture to help restore hair's natural more youthful-looking shine.

Hair Restorative Ingredient # 2: Hydrolyzed Silk
Hydrolyzed from pure silk fibers, silk amino acids have a low molecular weight which gives much deeper penetrating and moisturizing effects to the hair follicle and scalp.

Hair Restorative Ingredient # 3: Almond Oils
Almond oils are rich in vital hair follicle restorative nutrients and minerals. These all natural oils help condition and repair hair elasticity and control hair loss.

    Hair Restorative Ingredient # 4: Pro-Vitamin B-5
Vitamin B-5, or Panothenic acid, is an essential vitamin for hair growth and health and improves the appearance and elasticity of hair. Aids in preventing hair loss and may add more volume and body to hair.

    Directions (from the manufacturer)
Wash hair. Towel-dry clean shampooed hair. Apply a generous amount of mask to hair. Use your hands and fingers to evenly distribute mask through hair from root to tip. Comb through hair; leave on for 5 to 15 minutes. Rinse, dry as usual, style hair. For best results, use 1-2 times per week.

FUNERICA Take-A-Part Toy Fire Truck Review

My son is 3 1/2 and is obsessed with anything car or truck related. I am excited to share with you a hidden gem on Amazon. It is currently listed at less than $15 and on Prime shipping. Christmas is almost here and with so many on your list and so many toys to buy, why not buy something well made, fun, educational and budget-friendly? I was sent this for review, however, I only accept review item that looks promising upfront. If something does not fit into my family or reader's needs I pass on it. I also pass on a lot of items that are simply not well made. It is often easy to see if an item is going to be poorly made, but sometimes it is not easy to see, and I end up testing a product that is absolutely not ideal for my family and it not worth purchasing.

I have a toy for review today that I am impressed with. It does not light up and it does not make noises, (those are both bonuses as I like toys that the child can make their own imaginative noises). This is a firetruck by Funerica. I was not sure it was a firetruck until I read the description on Amazon. It really could be any type of construction or helper truck. This truck is colorful and well made. It also did not have any chemical odor! I like this toy because it not only is an awesome truck, but it can be taken apart with the included tools! My 3 1/2-year-old is going to go crazy for this one!

I love the 5 people that are included. I would like to find more of these from this company. The figures are well detailed and fun. They move easily and can be taken along as a toy to keep a young child occupied (and quietly sitting in their seat ) at the doctor's office, church, or grocery cart. My 6 1/2-year-old daughter will enjoy this as well. There are 2 girl figures and one is a princess!

I absolutely was impressed with this toy and look forward to seeing what else this company has available. This is fun and educational! Children can develop and improve their motor and building skills. This has a total of 33 pieces. I would recommend that the truck and nuts/bolts are played with away from toddlers and babies. There are some really small parts to this toy.

I give this a 5/5 and recommend it highly. The packaging is underwhelming and if this was in a store, I might pass it up. But the toy inside the box is amazing! Christmas is coming and this is an awesome price right now!

This was sent to me complimentary for an honest review.

Product Characteristics:

• Top-quality materials & non-toxic colors

• 33 colorful pieces

• 5 toy figures

Take Apart Truck is the perfect idea for Gifts, Birthday Presents, Holiday Gifts, etc.

Wicks Studio Pumpkin Chai 10oz soy Candle Review

I love candles. They can change (for the better) my mood depending on the fragrance. Baked goods put me in a relaxed, almost cuddly, sleepy mood and citrus, lavender, lemongrass, or clean laundry fragrances wake me up and energize me. No matter the fragrance, I am always in a happier mood when a candle is burning. The flicker and whispery crackle is calming.

Now that it is cooler weather, and I am warming up with hot beverages in the evening, I enjoy sipping on a delicious drink while a candle is burning. I work late into the evening on the computer and take advantage of the quieter moments to myself when the 3 littles are in bed and not chasing each other in our tiny home. :) This is my time to unwind.

I was sent a soy candle for review from a company called Wicks Studio. It was shipped to me secured in a large box with lots of packing peanuts! I was impressed with the care that was taken to ensure my candle's safe arrival.

The Wicks Studio candle is visually appealing and classy. It is in a 10 oz glass jar and has a beautiful wooden lid.  This candle is soy and uses eco-friendly wooden wicks. I was sent the Pumpkin Chai. The company also makes bath and body products, aromatherapy, and has a selection of essential oils. The website is user-friendly and colorful. I like how it is organized by fragrance type, season and month. Check out their Fragrance Finder if you need help finding the perfect scent for you, or a loved one.

Here is a description of this delicious fragrance to entice you:

The perfect blending of pumpkin pie spices and chai tea. Top notes of cinnamon bark and nutmeg are followed with a robust body of fresh green tea; finished off with the aroma of creamy soy milk.

Followed by Scents of the Fall Harvest come alive with this Buttery, Sweet Cream, Pumpkin Pie, rich with the spices of Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Cloves & Ginger.

This soy wax candle is safe for those with allergies, as there are no chemicals or toxins. Only high-quality fragrance oils are used.  I love how the company suggests reusing the glass container! I always do that with all my glass jars, even our jars from our tomato sauces.

I like this candle and am excited to find out what other fragrances are available. I did have some experiences where one of the wicks would burn out after the first 3 to 5 minutes. I only had this issue 2 or 3 times total in the last month. I would simply re-light the wick without further issues. I also noticed a small amount of black soot on the side of the glass jar on the inside rim. I still have less soot and smoke with soy wax candles than non-soy candles. Breathing is easier with soy wax candles.

This was sent to me for review, however, this is my own experience. I only provide my honest opinion.
