Total Tea Gentle Detox Review

My husband had gastric bypass about 8 years ago and although he has lost half his weight and kept it off, he has had stomach and indigestion issues since. Meals that are overly greasy, fatty or sweet cause his stomach to immediately reject the food and he is either sick to his stomach or writhes in clenching stomach pain/knots. This is somewhat a good thing as it keeps him eating healthier, however, often it is difficult to eat as strict as he needs to as sometimes regular food at a restaurant is greasier than he originally thought when ordering. He has grown accustomed to loving hot tea (at nearly what seems volcanic temperatures) even in the midst of summer as it eases stomach pain and aids in digestion. He and I were very excited to have him try a detox and digestion tea from Total Tea.   This company has various teas that contain healthy and soothing herbs that detox, tone and soothe the stomach and colon.

We were sent a package of Total Tea which contains Senna, Peppermint, Chamomile, Rosehips and various other fantastic herbs and botanical ingredients.  It is an all natural herbal body detox that can help with irritable bowel syndrome, indigestion, diarrhea, and so much more.   We like how it tastes delicious, and is caffeine-free. Kosher certified, and gluten free.

Here are the ingredients that make this tea absolutely wonderful for his delicate stomach:

ECHINACEA - stimulates the immune system to counter both bacterial and viral infections. Contains anti-inflammatory components

GYNOSTEMMA - acts as a scavenger in the stomach and intestines to eliminate waste and toxins from the body. Helps accelerate metabolism by adjusting blood sugar and reducing blood fat

PAPAYA - Contains papain and enzyme chemically related to "pepsin" which helps digest protein in the body and acts as an anti-inflammatory

PEPPERMINT - Soothes and comforts the stomach, promoting healthy digestion. Helps with the treatment of ulcer conditions of the bowel and intestine

CINNAMON - Used to combat microorganisms, diarrhea and other GI disorders, and has anti-oxidant properties

HIBISCUS - Used to treat constipation and inflammation

GINGER - Relieves indigestion, gas pains, irritation to the intestinal walls, diarrhea, and stomach cramping for the best body cleanse effect.

ROSE HIPS - Beneficial for constipation, infections and bladder problems. Excellent nutritional supplement and helps prevent cold

CHAMOMILE - Contains anti-inflammatory properties that soothe the digestive tract and help relieve pain, indigestion, acidity, gas, gastritis, bloating, colic, ulcers and other inflammatory conditions of the digestive system

SENNA - relieves constipation, increases peristalsis & soften stools for a gentle colon cleanse effect.

He likes how it contains peppermint, senna and ginger, which are 3 ingredients he used to use separately for his stomach issues.  The Echinacea is nice as it is antibacterial which is important as he is a manager at a busy hotel and seems to always catch a cold.  This is helpful to his immune system.  He has been drinking this tea each night before bed and it calms his stressful moods and makes him relaxed.  Chamomile makes him sleepy but it also is great for his stomach issues.  He has bloating, acid, and indigestion daily.  All of the flavors blend together to create a delightfully spicy yet fruity tea that he loves.  He adds a touch of raw local honey to sweeten it.  This tea smells so good!

He loves this tea and recommends it as he says it helps keep him regular without bloating or cramping.  He feels better in the morning when he drinks a cup or 2 (reuses same bag for second cup) before bed.  The company even makes their tea in a k-cup form, which is really convenient.

LEABAGS - " Charlotte " Exclusive Genuine Leather Women's Wallet Clutch Review

I had reviewed the LEABAGS Santa Cruz Weekender recently and wanted to tell you about a coordinating wallet (Charlotte) that the same company has available.  You can read about my weekender review here.

If you are looking for a real leather, spacious, and beautiful wallet that is expertly crafted, this is the wallet for you. The stitching is precise and without any flaw. The leather is smooth yet sturdy.  The color is a warm medium brown shade (Muskat) and the leather is referred to as oiled buffalo leather.   It has a wonderful natural leather fragrance and will age gracefully.

With 18 Credit card slots, 1 photo slot/ID card slot, and 2 zippered pockets, this is a fantastic wallet for storing various receipts, shopping lists, shared recipes from visiting family members, cash, credit cards, coupons and more. My husband used to travel for a week at a time, twice a month (for about 2 years) and when he saw this wallet this past week, he actually said he would have used something like this in his carry on to keep all his travel tickets, car rental receipts and gas receipts. He had to keep track of various costs to be reimbursed from his company.  The size of this wallet is perfect:  Dimensions (BxHxL): 1.5 x 4.5 x 7.5."

The leather is durable buffalo leather (which is what my husband's Coach men's billfold is made of) and so he really likes this wallet. :) I showcase it in the video without any personal effects in it so that you can better see how the wallet looks. The interior is an olive green canvas and appears that it is wipeable and slightly water resistant (easier to wipe clean). I love the zipper pull hardware that was used. Very classy.

The snap that secures the wallet flap is sturdy. I would have loved for the snap to be magnetic, but that is just my preference. I love how much storage and zippered compartments are in this clutch. There is no shortage of space. You cannot go wrong with this wallet from LEABAGS

Sleeveless Dance Costumes Backless Halter Dress for Girls by Avery Dance (Review)

My little girl loves to dress up whether it is for playtime, church, or a formal occasion.  She would probably wear a dress everyday if she could, even if she was playing in a particular messy activity such as mud or sand. :)

I was sent a dance costume from Avery Dance.  It is a halter style dress with tulle skirt and polka dot sequins.  This is a very sweet costume. It reminds me of Peter Pan's Tinkerbell or a woodland fairy. It comes with elastic banded tulle wrist bands and 2 flower pins (we put one green flower in our daughter's hair with a bobby pin and the other we pinned over the zipper in the back to hide the zipper pull). The flower has lace and ribbon flowing down.  I make wedding fascinators and hair flowers so I was not as impressed with he quality of the faux flower.  It looked cute with the outfit but the flower is rough and stiff and not the best quality.  It does look cute with the dress and I am happy it is included in the set.

The material of this dress is definitely a costume type tulle and thinner than I expected, but it is very cute and perfect for dress up, dance or a party.  My daughter is 4 and weighs about 34 lbs. and we have the size 5 dress so she can wear it for next year as well.  I was able to pull the halter straps to a secure and tighter fit so that the dress is not too low in front.  I think the length of the skirt is nice and not too short or revealing.

The green color is absolutely perfect, reminiscent of a bright spring green (or a fresh green garden pepper) and the polka dots / sequins are very cute. She loves wearing this outfit and she loves the "sparkles".

I recommend this dress and think it works well for many occasions.

This dress is very reasonable in price (currently around $15) and is available on Amazon.

Solilor Girls Backless Halter Chiffon Dress Review

I love having a little girl to wear pretty things.  My daughter is 4 and she enjoys dressing up just as much as I enjoy finding things for her to dress up with.  I have always enjoyed wearing the typical girly attire as well as jewelry and hair accessories, and my daughter is very fond as well.  She loves imagining she is a princesse, mermaid, or fairy lately, and so when I had the opportunity to review a fancy dress that could be both for dress up and formal wear I was very pleased.

Solilor is a fashion brand on Amazon and sent me a beautiful chiffon dress for my daughter to try.  We have this in the pink version and it is definitely the perfect shade of pink. It can appear peach in some lighting and depending on the hair flower or accessory you pair it with, or it can lean towards a warm pink.

The material is absolutely wonderful. It is well made and adorable. The straps which make up the bow are thick and secure the dress well. We have size 5 (as mentioned above my daughter is 4 years old and weighs about 34 lbs.) and although it is slightly big on her, it fits well with lots of room to grow.

This dress could be a costume, or easily worn to a wedding (flower girl or as a guest). I think it could be definitely be an Easter dress as it is not too short and the material would photograph well. It is a very pretty color and a fantastic Spring or Summer dress. I made a coordinating peach hair fascinator flower for her to wear with this dress. She saw some faux pearl beads of mine and asked to wear them for the picture. :)

I am supremely impressed with the quality and hope that the seller adds more of these in other colors.   I think this dress in an apple green or cherry red would be amazing for the Christmas holidays.  I imagine that the blue is gorgeous in person as well. The stitching was precise and neat, and this arrived in fantastic condition. Highly recommended.

Knight Visor Polarized Professional HD Night Vision Glasses for Driving Review

My husband gets tired at night when driving and both of us have difficulty driving when there are bright lights driving toward us.  I do not drive much during the day, but even rarer do I drive at night. I wear contacts and often my astigmatism bothers me when driving at night.

I had the opportunity to review some night driving glasses and since my husband is the main driver in the household, I thought I would have him try them out.  They are a unisex pair of sporty glasses, with a yellow lens tint.  They do lean more towards a man's pair of glasses, however honestly they are not for fashion, they are of safety and so neither of us mind the look of them.  With 2 small and precious cargo (our 2 young children) we need to be as safe as possible and my husband's eyes need all the help they can get at night.

The glasses are called Knight Visor Polarized Night Vision Glasses  and I like how these arrived in a nice box and come with a sturdy hard case and other extras.  Inside the hard zipper case is a storage bag which protects the glasses even more from accidental scratches.  The company also includes a clip to attach the glasses to a visor if you chose to store them that way.  They also come with a cleaning cloth which is similar to other microfiber ones, however we are always losing these and they are so very useful.

For those of you that are not familiar with the purpose of yellow polarized lenses, I will briefly explain.  Polarized lenses reduce glare from the headlights of oncoming cars (and those seen in your mirrors), shiny / wet pavement, and other reflective surfaces by filtering light.  Polarized lenses make objects appear clearer, and sharper.

My husband and I like these glasses and find that they work as intended.  I think it is really neat how these glasses are extra durable against bending and breaking.  I have not tested the bend-ability aspect of these, but they are supposed to withstand excessive wear and tear, such as if you were to accidentally bend them out in the reverse direction.  (Toddlers anyone?) :)

These are fairly comfortable and have padded, non slip nose pads and silicone grips on the ear piece to prevent slipping.  These seem like they will last and we are pleased to have these, especially for our upcoming weekend trip where we will be on the road for a few hours in the evening.
