Natural Lip Balm The Healing Tree Review and Vintage Christmas Decor!

How was everyone's Christmas? Mine went too fast. I actually wish it was still Thanksgiving weekend as we did not do all the things I wanted to do. I do not like bitter cold winter weather, but I LOVE Christmas! We finally got a vintage blow mold light up Santa! My children had a wonderful Christmas and although Christmas morning was not covered in a blanket of white snow, it was lovely that it happened to start snowing on Christmas Eve when my 3 and 6-year-old went outside with me to feed the reindeer. :) I started a tradition when my 6-year-old was 3, that we mix an assortment of cereals, dried oats, raisins, etc. in a bowl and sprinkle it on the front lawn so the reindeer can find our house in the fog. :) My son is now 3 and so I deemed him old enough to join us. He are photos of our 50s and 60s vintage Christmas decor. Vintage Santas make me so happy!

Today I have a short snippet review of a lip balm that was sent to me for evaluation. I recently reviewed a soap from The Healing Tree. I have tried The Healing Tree's charcoal soap and their Sweet Basil and Lime soap.

This balm stick works well for my lips and has no chemical fragrances or irritating ingredients. I have severely chapped lips in the winter months. I like to apply this thickly, immediately after my shower and let it sink in while I get the rest of my make up on. By the time I am ready for my lipstick, this has smoothed my lips and has prepared a base for a flawless red lip. I used to use the well-known brands for years. I switched to using natural products 5 years ago, and always read labels before using a new item.

I was sent one stick of the natural lip balm variety to try as a review sample. I like this product but would have preferred it to have been USA made. I would have also liked it to have been a vanilla oil lip balm as I love vanilla flavors and scents.

Sweet Basil & Lime Handmade Soap by The Healing Tree Review

I love trying new natural soaps and cosmetics. I always use sulfate -ree soaps and shampoos. I was sent a soap from The Healing Tree. I reviewed their charcoal soap a few years ago and loved it. This soap that I have been using from them was a creamy face and body soap called Sweet Basil and Lime
This had an amazing smell that woke me up and energized me each morning. I used this on my face daily and also on my sea sponge for my body. I only use sulfate free soaps and this one is gentle, yet has a great lather. I would not have normally thought to use this scent as I normally select more vanilla, sandalwood, or baked good scents (blueberry muffin). I originally was intending for my husband to try this one in his shower. I will have to get him another. I kept this one in my shower and used it until it was completely gone! I liked it a lot. The only thing I would improve is perhaps the size. I normally use a 5 to 8 oz bar of natural soap. I used this for my face and entire body. It did not last as long as I would have liked for the price of the bar. However, it is a good value based on the quality of the soap. Natural products cost more and I am aware of this. I rather pay a little more for top quality, healthier ingredients, than cheap ingredients that irritate my skin and are chemical laden.

I recommend this soap. Please check out their products on their website.

Ingredients:
Coconut Oil (Cocos Nucifera), Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, (Salt) Sodium Lactate, (Salt) Sodium Gluconate, Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii), Cocoa Butter (Theobroma), Sweet Basil Oil (Ocimum Basilicum), and Lime Peel Oil (Citrus Aurantifolia).

Eimmie 18 Inch Doll Bunk Beds w/ Trundle and Accessories Review

It is almost Christmas! Do you have the perfect gift for your daughter or son? Children love doll and bears, and both girls and boys enjoy imaginative play. It is healthy and good for them to learn to nurture their toys. You can get doll beds for boys. Does your son have a bear? Several bears? Superman? My son is 3 1/2 and has all sorts of dolls and bears. My daughter is 6 1/2 and her favorite dolly is named Honey. She is the Bitty Baby in the red Christmas dress. She also has a lot of dolls. Honey sleeps with my daughter every night, but when my daughter is at school, in first grade, Honey does not want to be left alone, up high in a bed all day. Honey likes to play. But sometimes Honey gets tired and grumpy, and needs a nap while my daughter is at school. How can Honey climb back into my daughter's bed? Well, she does not have to. She can nap in her own bed!

Children like their dollies and stuffed animals to do the same things they like to do. I was sent a wooden doll bunk bed and trundle set for review. It is for 15-inch and 18-inch dolls. The painted wood is smooth and well done. I have been completely impressed with the quality. My children (ages 6 1/2 and 3 1/2) love playing with the set. It came with so many fun accessories! My favorite extras are the two bears, they are incredibly well made, soft, and cute! I gush about them in my review video as well. :)

This set requires assembly. If this is to be a Christmas toy, make sure you allow plenty of time to put it together. It took my husband about 2 hours. I am not sure if it was his lack of sleep or if it just took him a long time. It was late at night when he put it together. We wanted the kids to see it already built when they saw it for the first time. So we waited until they were completely in bed (and past the late night "I want another cup of water...I need a snack... my leg hurts...can I show you a trick I can do?" excuses).

I highly recommend this set. It is sturdy and looks nice. The books and magazines are made of wood, which makes them sturdy and easy to hold. The hangers are made of wood as well, which I appreciate. The silver laptop resembles my Macbook Pro and is highly detailed. I love the tiny pink alarm clock! This has a nice chair, desk, and shelves. It reminds me of a college dorm room.

The company is called Eimmie and they have a wide variety of doll furniture and accessories. You can see a vast selection on Amazon, however, check out www.PlaytimebyEimmie.com to see customer photos and reviews and check out their wonderful products. Share your playtime experiences on social media with the hashtag #playtimebyeimmie and they can provide you with 15% off your next purchase!

I love American Girl dolls and products, but I also love supporting and promoting smaller companies. This company (Playtime With Eimmie) is a fantastic one and I recommend the products. The wood is solid and the paint is attractive and smooth. Everything is neatly done and professional.

Ultrasonic Pest Control Repels Bugs, Mice, Mosquitos, & Cockroaches (6 pack)

It is officially winter. I am not happy about it, however, I love that it is Christmas time! The month of December goes by far too quickly. It is such a wonderful time.

Now back to the "not so happy" part. It is winter and we live in a nearly 100-year-old house in a rural area. Our house is drafty and not sealed properly. We have the all-to-frequent unwanted visitor-intruder occasionally. I am terrified of mice. I cry. I am not kidding. My heart beats fast and I tremble. I have tried all types of methods for preventing and removing mice. I was sent another ultra-sonic device, however, I am not convinced it is working. I have these all over the house. Our home is less than 2000 square feet, and with about 10 of these plugged in, I see no difference. The brand I have for review today is a 6 pack and is currently on Amazon. I have used these for a month and have seen 2 small mice (at 2 separate times) in one month. It is just now getting very cold outside and they mice want inside. Although we keep our home clean, our walls and doorways and not as sealed tight as they need to be. Unfortunately, these have not worked for me. I realize that the manufacturer states (for this and other brands) that activity can actually increase for the first few weeks of use. (As they try to escape from the walls or inside the home.) I will still keep these plugged in as they at least give me some hope, however, my hope in these sonic type devices is fading promptly. I have tried numerous brands over the years.

These were sent to me complimentary for my honest review and evaluation.

Sweet & Clean Organic Honey Oatmeal Soap Built by Bees Review

I like the ingredients in this honey oatmeal soap. It has a pretty honey scent and works well as a gentle face soap. It has a light but pleasant lather and I have used it with my natural sea sponge as a body wash. However, I think the oatmeal pieces are too rough. I would have liked the oatmeal to be ground up into an oatmeal powder or smaller, gentler pieces. When lathering in my hands, it is not very comfortable as the pieces are sharp. I have had this issue with other soaps that have oatmeal pieces as exfoliants. I only use natural and sulfate free soaps, so this one is great otherwise.

This has simple, yet effective ingredients: honey, oatmeal, coconut oil, olive fruit oil, bran and palm oil. This is available to purchase on Amazon and the Built By Bees website. This was sent to me for my honest review. I like it but would like the oatmeal to not be so harsh when lathering the soap.
