Optimal Healthcare Labs Probiotic Supplement: Reviewed

I have been taking probiotics for a few years now. I find that without them, even if I skip 3 days, I have stomach discomfort. I used to eat a lot of yogurt, but in the last few months have really slacked off. I have been trying a probiotic brand from Optimal Healthcare Labs. The pills from this company are larger than my usual single dose tiny pearl that I am used to. This brand directs me to take 2 of the capsules with water daily. They seem to help well and I have no ill effects. I do prefer taking one tiny pill as opposed to 2 larger ones. (Since I take so many pills already with Prenatal Vitamins, DHA, Vitamin D3, 4-6 Fenugreek, 4 Blessed Thistle, 4-6 Brewers Yeast tablets, Calcium, Iron, and Folic Acid). I would prefer them to be smaller, however the benefit to the vegetable cellulose capsules is that I can break them in half and sprinkle in my toddler's food when she needs some probiotics.

Probiotics contain live cultures that help promote a healthy and comfortable digestion, boost the immune system, and assist the colon. When taken regularly, chronic bloating and abdominal cramping/discomfort can be minimized or even corrected. This is true for me, I feel absolutely awful without a probiotic of some sort.

This probiotic supplement says that it is for adults and children alike. Please note that the bottle says that a doctor should be consulted before giving to a child under 18. With most anything, you should always ask you doctor or pediatrician before starting a supplement regimen for your child. Since these break open, I have given my 3 1/2 year old a half of one sprinkled in her apple sauce a few times when her tummy is hurting her.

Both my children were delivered by c-section. My daughter, was my first child and although I planned to deliver naturally, 20 minutes before she arrived I was told I was needing an emergency c-section. Babies who are delivered naturally (non c-section) are exposed to extra beneficial bacteria as they pass through the birth canal. My daughter, and recently in April, my son, missed out on that healthy bacteria. Thankfully I breastfed my daughter and now my son, and am passing healthy bacteria to him. As you nurse, you help your baby build up more good bacteria. Breast milk contains prebiotics that promote the growth of healthy bacteria.

This probiotic contains 10.12 Billion CFU per serving. The bottle contains 60 capsules for a 1 month supply. I am very happy to see that this product is made in the USA. The company strives for their best customer service and offers a no risk money back guarantee if for any reason you are not satisfied.

If you found this review or any of my other reviews enjoyable or interesting, please let me know. I am fond of writing reviews and hearing feedback about what I have written as I feel reviews help those interested make an informed decision before purchasing. I also feel that honest and informative reviews improve a product by providing insight to the company. I believe reviews should be honest no matter whether an item was free, at a discount, or purchased. This was sent to me as a sample, as courtesy, in exchange for my honest opinion.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
