Bonapiel Vitamin C Eye Gel: Reviewed

I have some fine lines around my eyes and dark circles. My skin is fair to light ivory with cool undertones and so my circles are very pronounced. I have had under eye circles for years due to poor sleeping habits, insomnia, and heredity. I do try to cover them up with concealer, but often have difficulty. I am trying to correct them with proper hydration, Vitamin C applied topically, improved sleep and vitamins.

I had the opportunity to try out a Vitamin C Eye Serum from Bonapiel. Bonapiel Eye Serum is specially formulated to help hydrate, pamper, heal and soothe delicate skin around the eyes. Daily application over an extended amount of time can potentially promote a younger appearance, by softening the fine lines and brightening dull and dark areas around the eyes.

Bonapiel is a lightweight, non-greasy, Vitamin C gel that aids cellular reconstruction and renewal. It contains some natural ingredients that assist with repairing damaged and stressed skin. It can assist with ridding puffiness and brightening dark areas. I am optimistic that this will help me over time. As with any beauty product or weight loss product, it is important to be consistent in application and realize that results do not happen over the course of a few days or weeks. It often takes months of dedication in application and positive lifestyle change.

This formula blends these natural ingredients:

- Vitamin C: Reduces the appearance of crow's feet and lift the look of eyes
- Cucumber: Provides unparalleled anti-inflammatory effect that helps reduce puffiness.
- Aloe Vera: Improves the skin's natural firmness and keep the skin hydrated.
- Green Tea: Provides complementary skin-beautifying effects by protecting against damage from UV light and free radicals.

Ingredients:

Deionized Water, Butylene Glycol, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycerin, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Ethoxydiglycol, Hesperidin Methylchalcone, Steareth-20-Dipeptide-2, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Sorbic Acid, Carbomer, Camelia Sinensis (Green Tea) Extract, Euphrasia Officinalis (Eyebright) Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Sodium PCA, Triethanolamine, Glycosaminoglycans, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Allantoin

My Personal Application and Directions:

1.) I Oil Cleanse my Face with a blend of Argan Oil, Vegetable Glycerin, Castor Oil, Calendula Oil, Jojoba Oil and Rose Hip Oil. Follow my Oil Cleansing routine, steam cleanse, rinse with cold water to close pores and pat dry.

2.) I Tone my skin with Thayers Witch Hazel in Lemon.

3.) I Pump the bottle twice on my ring finger as it is the lightest weight pressure, least-used finger. I apply with a light tapping on my eyelids and under the eyes to fight and prevent the dark circles, crows feet and bags. Working my way from the inside bottom lid to the outside bottom corner. Continue with a dotting motion, and apply the eye gel along the length of the top eyelid.

4.) I also apply to my forehead and in between my eyebrows.

My Thoughts:

I like this product and it is soothing on my skin. I have used it for only 3 weeks so it is too early to notice any dramatic results. I still have under eye circles, but that is part hereditary and part poor sleep habits. I also have very pale skin so that makes my dark areas more noticeable. This serum feels lightweight and is not sticky or greasy. It does have some nice ingredients, however some of the ingredients listed have chemical sounding names that I am unsure about. This does not cause any irritation to my skin and the fragrance is very faint.
