Smooth Viking Beard Balm and Oil Review (for the men in your life)

Do you have a bearded friend, husband, boyfriend, father or even boss at work? Have you wondered what to get them for a special gift but just cannot figure out what would be unique, fun and thoughtful? Perhaps get them some beard care products.  It is something that is useful, yet, perhaps they have never tried it.  My husband has had a beard 90% of the time I have known him (which is 7 years of marriage and about 5 years before).  He has always taken precise care in preening it with a comb (yes brushing and combing---no it is not Duck Dynasty length or even near that) and keeping it trimmed underneath and shaped.  My husband became a beard oil user about a year ago when I got him to try various essential oils (Lavender, Tea Tree, Manuka, etc.) and carrier oils (Argan, Jojoba, Sweet Almond, Calendula, etc.) He likes the softness he gets from oils and the facial massage feels great on his skin.  I was sent 2 products from Smooth Viking.

These are oils for your beard and the skin underneath.  The Beard Balm is a solid form of beard oil with a Mango Butter and Shea Butter base.  This is perfect for keeping in your travel bag or on your counter for daily use.  This balm has beeswax in it to keep the ingredients at  a solid state.  It does melt a little with the warmth of fingers and then can easily be massaged into the beard.  This product keeps your beard soft and easy to manage.  It helps with strengthening the hair, taming it, and depending on how much beard you have, can style it neatly.  This is made with 100% natural ingredients.  This beard balm conditioner can also help with new beard growth while it nourishes the skin, eliminating itching associated with beard stubble and growth.

Here are the simple, yet effective ingredients:

Mango Butter, Shea Butter, Beeswax, Avocado Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Argan Oil, Castor Oil, and Pure Essential Oil

I love that it has Argan Oil and Castor Oil, those are oil that are fantastic for hair and growth.  He really likes this oil and uses it several times per week.  The balm has a light fragrance that is pleasant.   The tin is conveineint and travel friendly.

We also were sent the liquid dropper form of Beard Oil .  It has very similar ingredients,  (Made with Avocado Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Moroccan Argan Oil, Olive Oil, Pumpkin Seed Oil, Castor Oil, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E and Pure Essential Oil) with the addition of Olive oil, Pumpkin Seed oil, and Vitamin E.  This does not contain the beeswax as it is liquid.  This oil is great for beards and skin.  Even those without a beard can benefit from using this oil on their face and neck.  It would be fantastic for soothing skin after shaving.  I actually use this liquid form sometimes in my eye makeup removal.  If you use about a full dropper of this, you can easily remove waterproof eyeliner and mascara.  Just be gentle and do not rush the process.  I have also used this beard oil on my face after microdermabrasion and exfoliation. I usually use about 3 drops onto my fingers and then smooth over my face.  The liquid oil is also perfect for putting a few drops into baby's bath.  I really like finding uses for it!

We both like these 2 products and highly recommend them.  These 2 items are available on Amazon.  Below you will find pictures of the balm before it was dug into, I find it much more pleasant to show beforehand. :)

*I was sent the 2 mentioned products as a review sample, all opinions are my own.
