I had the opportunity to review a baby product that is highly necessary. If you have a baby or a small child you know that accidents, messes and diaper leaks are going to happen. We cloth diaper and do not usually have leakage, but we do have the occasional stomach bug or food sensitivity. Our 1 year old has been gradually starting new foods and was sick on his mattress a few weeks ago. We had purchased a very pricy organic cotton mattress (not plastic covered---eek!) that would have been ruined if it were not for using a cover. He had eaten something that did not settle well and was sick through the fitted sheet and cover, but it did not touch the mattress at all! Success!
We were sent a cover/protector
I always air dry mine but I am sure it will work fine on low heat in the dryer. You always want to have a mattress cover even if it is for an older child or even an adult (obviously your would get a bigger size cover). Using a cover is vital for preserving the life expectancy of your mattress.
The material is naturally antibacterial, antimicrobial, antifungal, hypoallergenic, and repels bed bugs. It is a safe material and is free of lead, latex, phthalate, pvc and bpa. We always make sure to use safe materials and choose natural fabrics and items whenever possible. We love how soft this is and how it is not plastic. We had a cheap plastic topped one in the past for our 4 year old's twin bed and it ripped quickly in the washer and was noisy and made her bed hot.
This is a fantastic cover and recommended. It is available on Amazon: Universal Comfy Co. crib mattress cover/protector
*I was sent a product sample to test in my home, no other compensation was provided. All thoughts are my own.
