VeryDirtyCarpets Carpet and Upholstery Spot and Stain Remover Review

I was sent a stain remover product to try from VeryDirtyCarpets.com.  I have no pets, but I do have a 4 1/2 year of and a 14 month old.  They are cute and wonderful children, but they sure do make messes.  This week I gave our 14 month old a teething biscuit that gets very messy when it breaks down and gets wet.  I should have given it to him in the plastic (wipeable, easy to clean) highchair, but instead gave it to him in his fabric play yard.  Within 10 minutes, before he was done with it, all the toys, his clothing, and the play yard was covered in sticky brown teething biscuit mess.  After removing the plastic toys and cleaning with baby wipes, I cleaned him up and put him in his swing.  I definitely had a big mess to clean up.

I was sent a product to review and provide my honest opinion.  The product is Very Dirty Carpets Carpet and Upholstery Spot and Stain Remover.  This product is tested and used by a carpet cleaning professional who has been cleaning carpets and their stains for 20 years.  Mr. MacDonald sent this product to me to try.

This spray uses "encapsulation technology" that traps the dirt in the non stick formula when it dries. The stain will not come back due to a sticky residue.  The product claims to be effective on a variety of stains such as coffee, automotive stains, grease, pet stains, food stains, and more.  I have tried it on the baby food stain mentioned above and used it as a laundry pre-treat.  I wanted to wash the fitted sheet after the stain was cleaned so that any possible chemicals in the spray were out since baby will be crawling on this.  I did not use any laundry soap or stain remover other than the spray.  The fitted sheet was freshly laundered a few short days prior to the food stain.  The results below are from spraying, then blotting (which removed about 95% of the stain--but left the fitted sheet wet and with product in it that I did not want on baby's skin) then washing on cold with no other products.

The formula is a "concentrated secret formula" which I would prefer knowing what is in there since I have children.  Due to the fact that I will use this on carpets and fabrics that they will be playing on, I am concerned for safety on their skin and wanting to know if the product is harmful to children and pets.  We normally use enzyme and natural based products.

I am happy that this does not have a strong odor and that it works well.  The stain is gone.
The VeryDirtyCarpets Carpet and Upholstery Spot and Stain Remover traps (encapsulates) the soiling in a polymer based non stick microscopic powder that will vacuum easily out of the carpet or upholstery.  It is intended that you spray this on the stain on your carpet and blot it and then vacuum.

I do not allow eating or drinking in our carpeted areas so I thankfully did not have any carpet stains to test this on.  Laundry/fabric stains are our problem in this house.  I was pleased with the results on the play yard fitted sheet.  I only basically machine rinsed this out.  I did not use any laundry soap or any other products.

I like how this Carpet Stain Remover  is USA made.

Disclosure: I received one or more of the products mentioned above in exchange for my honest review.
