Probiotics are living organisms that produce enzymes that break down the food we eat, as well as convert sugars to the essential nutrients our bodies need. I feel absolutely awful when I do not taken any probiotic of any type for a few days. I often notice loss of energy, exhaustion, irritability, cramping, and bloating when I skip doses. I have been taking some sort of probiotic (either pill or liquid form) for at least 5 years.
The probiotic brand I have been testing the past 2 weeks is AlphaHealthy Probiotics
, they are a white powder veggie cellulose capsule form. My bottle arrived to me on time and was well-packaged and sealed for safety. I did not notice any after taste or smell to these pills. These can be broke apart to sprinkle into food (great for those who do not swallow pills or for young children) or can be taken as pill form by swallowing. I have no issues with swallowing these. I take 2 each day in the evening with my other pills. In order to keep this probiotic fresh and maintain its bacterial integrity, please keep it refrigerated once it has been opened. 
Probiotics provide a boost of energy, and maintain proper digestion. It is always important to drink plenty of water to help get things moving smoothly and to prevent discomfort. I eat a high protein, high fiber, high antioxidant frozen smoothie each morning that includes, milk, 2 frozen bananas, green matcha tea powder, spirulina, pure cacao chocolate powder and wholefood based vanilla protein powder. I feel that this, in conjunction with my probiotic supplement, water, and eating a well balanced diet, helps my body feel its best. This is highly important as I am a busy stay at home mommy to a 3 year old and 5 month old. I feed my baby naturally so he is also getting nutrients and probiotics from me. My milk helps him build up good bacteria. Breast milk contains Prebiotics that promote the growth of healthy bacteria. Prebiotics nourish the "good" bacteria that live in our digestive system. When I consume Probiotics through foods or my supplements I am promoting a proper balance of good bacteria for my baby.
For years (before and during pregnancy) I had used a small rounded pearl shaped probiotic. These are about 1/4 inch, and you directed are to take one pearl with or without food. They have 1 billion CFU. They can be conveniently taken on the go, as they come in a blister pack and can be stored without refrigeration. They are not something I can give my 2 children as neither swallow pills. If I had continued using the pearl ones, I would have to purchase a second probiotic that can break apart, which is added cost. I have not been purchasing those anymore.
The AlphaHealthy Probiotics contain 60 capsules (enough for one month). These do have to be refrigerated for the freshest and most potent results. I think if you were going on a short trip and had these in a cool dark place away from sunlight, they might be fine for travel. Most hotels these days have a mini fridge. These can be opened up and sprinkled on my 3 1/2 yr. old's food. I do not give her the full dosage. Please check with your pediatrician before giving any supplements to children. My 3 1/2 year old daughter takes probiotics and gets approximately 3/4 teaspoon each day. I think this brand works well and is comparable to other similar probiotics I have used.

Directions:
