I have been trying another natural shampoo this month. This one is from Majestic Pure. I have tried several of their products in the recent weeks.
Majestic Pure Argan Oil Shampoo comes in a generously sized (16 oz), amber plastic bottle with a pump. It is a blend of argan oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil, camellia seed oil, botanical keratin, almond oil and coconut oil. It contains 100% pure Moroccan Argan Oil. It is sulfate free which is what mainly caught my eye. It is difficult to find a truly natural, sulfate free shampoo. This is said to be safe for color treated hair, however my Indigo runs a bit when I use this, so I only wash my hair 1-2 times a week. (Which is what happens with all the sulfate free shampoo I have tried in the last few years). I tint my hair with pure, body art quality henna and indigo about once a month to tint my premature greys. The shampoo is safe for daily use, but for me Indigo does not stay well in my hair despite adding salt to the powder and being militant with being chemical free. Any other Henna-Indigo users that can give me some advice??
I like the fragrance of this shampoo (honey and vanilla) and the ingredients are fantastic. Argan Oil is nourishing and provides a luminous shine. It also provides Vitamin E, carotene and essential fatty acids. Almond Oil is rich in proteins and Vitamin D. Jojoba is high in Vitamins A, B and E and thickens hair while providing moisture. Jojoba is similar to the scalp's natural sebum and does not weigh down hair. Camellia Seed Oil provides antioxidants as well as nourishes skin and scalp. Peach Kernel Oil has moisturizing properties. Avocado Oil contains Vitamins A, B1, B2, D, and E. Botanical Keratin smooths hair and makes it silky and manageable.
I like this shampoo and use it twice a week on my 5 year old daughter's long, straight hair. I use it once per week as our water it extremely hard and excessive shampooing makes my Indigo run, which makes my henna indigo needing to be touched up every 3-4 weeks to blend my grey strands. My hair grows fast since I am currently pregnant and take daily prenatal, so my fresh roots grow fast
I was sent this shampoo for my honest evaluation and review. I purchased the shampoo tester bottle at a discounted rate (it was not free, but cheaper than retail).
