Rossina Julissa Exotic Argan Texture Hair Paste: Reviewed

My husband has always used some sort of product in his hair. He has natural curly hair and likes to prevent frizz, while defining the curls. I like his curly hair, but do not like his hair to be weighed down, crispy/crunchy or stiff. I like it to have some movement but not be greasy either. He used to use hair gels that had a lot of chemicals and alcohol in it and his hair would become damaged and be stiff/crunchy in the process. I introduced him to being sulfate free about a year ago and his hair is looking healthier and less damaged. I also had him try other hair products that were not laden with chemicals and alcohol. I use argan oil sometimes to give softness to my hair (just a drop or 2 on my hands and rubbed through my thick wavy hair gives it a healthy gloss and added manageability.

When I had the opportunity to review a hair texturizing cream that had argan oil and coconut oil, and was did not flake, or dry out hair, I was excited to accept. This is a light weight, semi matte finish paste, that styles hair with a medium hold.  I love that it is paraben and phthalate free.  It is made in the USA.  The brand is
Rossina Julissa Exotic Argan Texture Hair Paste.

The paste/cream has a nice texture, and my fingers do not feel overly sticky after application.  I do need to wash them after using the paste, but I do that with most cosmetics, hair, and skin care items as I am picky about product stickiness.  My hair is past my shoulders and very thick, with natural waves.  I do not need more than about a dime sized amount.  Using more than that can make my hair look oily since this is oil based.  I LOVE the pineapple fragrance.  It is by far the best hair cream I have experienced.  It is not a fake smell, it really does smell like a juicy pineapple.  My husband loves the fragrance and uses this more than I do.  At first use, he used way too much and he did not like how it made his hair very oily.  I showed him how little he needed (about half the amount I use) and now he likes it.  My husband used this  on his hair when we went to a wedding a few weeks ago.  This packed easily and the lid stays on nicely and I did not worry about spillage.

I do want to note that it does have Alcohol in it, but I think that the argan and coconut, paired with the moisturizing glycerin, should keep moisture in the hair and not dry it out or cause damage if used lightly.   I love the benefits of argan and coconut oils.  They really protect and nourish hair strands.  Hair is stronger and has a light gloss to it.  I can lightly scrunch my waves with this product and have a nice texture to my hair without loss of movement and flow.

I want to mention that this does have Dimethicone, which is a silicone and those of us that are sulfate free, you may have difficulty with removing any silicone build up over months of use.  Silicones often coat hair and often need sulfate shampoos to remove them.  My husband and I use low sudsing silicone free shampoo.

We like how the smells and we like the packaging.  The dark purple label looks classy and high end.  The container has a protective lid under the jar lid, this is nice as it keeps it extra fresh.  This should last him several months.   We love that it is USA made.
