100% Pure Dead Sea Salt: Adovia: Reviewed

I love to exfoliate and I love the feeling of smooth skin, especially on my face. I used to use microdermabrasion crystals on my face about 2 times a month, along with my Nutrasonic (similar to Clarisonic) facial brush. I then decided to switch to more simpler methods and use sugar and honey facial scrubs. Recently I had the opportunity to try out another Adovia product. It is the 100% Pure Dead Sea Salts. The jar is very generous in size, and although the company advertises this as 2 months of use, I think it can be stretched further. It is quite nice. I have been using it once a week on my face and my face feels like silk.

I do want to mention that since the jar is so full and generously sized, care must be taken to not spill it when opening. I almost spilled salts when opening the jar the first few times and also the lid did hurt my hand the very first time I tried opening it. The lid was on very tight and the lid had bumpy grooves on it that dug into my hand. That really is the ONLY thing I had difficulty with or would change, is I think the lid should be smooth. I would have loved for this to have included a small scooper to get the salts out, as that would be convenient, and less messy.

The salt is finely ground and infused with Dead Sea Minerals. I like to mix this salt with pure honey and use my finger tips to lightly massage in a circular motion all over my face and neck. I also use this salt and honey mixture on my chest as I am a side sleeper and often get cleavage creases. This is gentle on my skin and easy to rinse off. After rinsing, I like to apply my Vitamin C and Hyaluronic acid, then follow with a light moisturizer. I usually do the scrub before bed, in case my skin gets a little flushed.

This is perfect for those with blemishes, fine lines, excessively oily skin, blackheads, or those who just want their makeup to apply smoother. It really is one of my favorite Adovia product s that I have tried. I will definitely be purchasing this when my jar is used up. My husband even uses this and loves it. This makes my foundation glide on much easier and look flawless.

I am going to mix some of this salt with some peppermint essential oil, organic shea and coco butter, and Calendula oil. (I infuse my own from dried marigolds infused into a mixture of argan oil, jojoba, and grape seed oil--I infuse it for about a month in a Mason jar) and make a heel and foot scrub. This salt also works well when mixed with a body wash. I also tried it to exfoliate my armpits before shaving with my vintage safety razor. It made for a smooth and knick free shave.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
