Azure Naturals: Retinal: Reviewed

I have been trying out another facial serum this month. It is Vitamin A Retinal by Azure Naturals. It is in a pump bottle which is what I prefer over the dropper bottles. Dropper bottles need to be opened, and this lets in air and possible environmental contaminates (dust, etc.). The pump is easy to use and seems to be less mess for me.

I only need about 2 pumps of this serum to cover my entire face and neck. I often use a third pump and spread the serum over my chest / cleavage area as I am a side sleeper and have recently had some creasing that I am trying to smooth out. This serum is not sticky or greasy, it is very light and feels cooling when applied. It reminds me of my pure aloe vera that I like to apply to my face.

Retinol is one of the most effective ingredients for reducing fine lines and wrinkles as it provides exfoliation for skin. Vitamin A applied topically improves fine lines, wrinkles, skin texture, skin tone, and provides hydration. I use this serum after applying my Vitamin C and Hyaluronic serum. Retinol based products make you skin more sensitive to sunlight, so please do not sun bathe or go out in the sun without proper SPF protection. When applying the Retinal, I pay special attention to the smile lines around my face and my delicate skin area, as those are the areas I need to focus on right now. My face does not have wrinkles, but my eye area is not as tight as I would like, and my under eye area has shadowing.

Vitamin A and C help boost collagen production and increase elastin in our skin, which makes skin tighter and more firm. Retinal serum penetrates deep into skin, and assists this production. Applying this serum nightly will increase your skin's moisture and cellular renewal. I like to use a dead sea salt or sugar and honey facial scrub about 1-2 times a week for a natural microdermabrasion and exfoliation. I like applying Retinal, along with Vitamin C and Hyaluronic acid after my facial buffing. It is advised to apply serums before Retin-A or Retinol, and then apply moisturizer last.

I like this product, it has not caused me to break out, and I have not had any irritation. It is cooling and soothing to my skin. I feel like it is helping my skin. I like how it is made in the USA and has Organic ingredients. There is no Alcohol, no Parabens, and no GMO's. It is cruelty free.

Here is how I use it:

Gently cleanse skin: I oil cleanse and hot steam my face nightly. On night that I use my sea salt or sugar honey scrub, I exfoliate. I rinse my skin, pat dry and then apply a witch hazel toner. I like Thayer's Lemon. I then apply Vitamin C / Hyaluronic Acid serum, and allow to dry. I apply Retinal, then my moisturizer. It may seem like a long process, but I know the importance of taking care of my skin. I have gotten in a habit of doing this, so it does not seem to take long for me.
