Baiden Mitten Exfoliation Microdermabrasion Tool Review

I have always been a lover of exfoliation and microdermabrasion.  I guess mainly because I have scarring from past acne areas on my face, as well as some past scarring from chicken pocks in third grade.  I have always been self conscious.  I have used various natural face scrubs and micronized corundum crystal based creams, as well as various microfiber face towels, konjac sponges, and derma rollers. I am always on the lookout for new and fantastic products. As I am easing into my early thirties I want to keep my skin look as healthy and youthful as possible. I want a clear, smooth and glowing complexion. I was recently given the opportunity to review a hand kit that is used to deeply exfoliate and buff skin to a beautiful luminosity. The Baiden Mitten is meant to replace professional / salon exfoliation methods, as well as other home treatments as well.  Instead of having a shelf full of expensive creams and tools, the Baiden can be used on the face as well as arms, legs, stomach, etc.

This mitt is easy to use and has a loop on the end for easy hang-to-dry storage in your shower.  I use it at the end of my shower (last 5 minutes) as my skin has had enough time to prep with a steamy shower (I enjoy hot showers all year long).

Take a warm to hot bath/shower for at least 15 minutes.  Rinse the Baiden Mitten in hot water and wring it out.  Firmly rub the mitten using a back-and-forth or up-and-down motion while your skin is still damp.  Choose the right amount of pressure that suits your skin. Do not use soap or body wash with the mitt.  Skin will start to ball up and can look a little alarming the first few times you use the mitt.   Do not rinse until the entire area of your arm/leg/etc. is finished.  (the skin fragments will collect together)

If you are a beginner with his type of exfoliation or you have excessively sensitive skin, please be careful and not too rigorous. The Baiden Mitten is an abrasive mitt (it is supposed to be). Avoid intensely scrubbing any one area.  Baiden Mitten removes dead skin and residue and will reveal healthy and beautiful skin.  The mitt has a rose and the logo embroidered on one side, I happen to use this side on my face and the other side for my body.  Both sides are the same, I just choose to keep track of which is used on my face and body.

This is a great mitt.  I did see the slightly embarrassing, darker toned skin peel up on my arms and stomach.  My chin on my face had peeling as well.  I used this about 2-3 times each week for a month (still using it) but did not peel every time as it is very effective and exfoliates deep.  I am trying to get the area around my brows and mouth to soften a bit.  I do not have wrinkles, but I have been told that when I am deeply engrossed in a movie or concentrating sometimes my brow is furrowed slightly which makes me concerned.  As for around my mouth, I have some smile lines (at least this shows that I am a happy gal most of the time!)  The other issues I need help with are my large pores on my cheeks, nose, and chin.

After every use my skin felt silky and my makeup / foundation applied much more even and naturally.  I like this mitt a lot.  I do not have any complaints except that I personally would not be able to afford the current price of just under $50.  I think it would be better suited at just under $35.  I do understand that this is much more reasonable than going to salons or buying creams each month so for those who pay to have monthly procedures or buy expensive creams this is definitely a great way to have effective skincare and save money.  The mitt is fantastic, it does what it says it does.  I do not look to be in my twenties, but my skin is clear and smooth and I think that using this each week will make my skin more firm and resilient to problems.  I know I cannot stop aging on my skin, but I can delay it and make my skin look its best.

This mitt is great for stimulating collagen and elastin in our skin which helps to fill in fine lines and firms sagging skin.  I do not have wrinkles, but I do have areas of my face that appear tired and need some lifting.  I think this will be great to improve the areas of my thighs that are dimpled from excess cellulite (although I also need to be better at exercising and passing on the second helpings at mealtime.)

I recommend this mitt if you are looking for improvement to face and body from various skin problems.
