CanvasHQ: Review and GIVEAWAY!

We got married 6 years ago, and yet we still have not put one single picture up from the wedding. We were in an apartment for the first 2 years of married life, then moved to another city in the same state. I became pregnant with my first, and now recently had my second in April. To be honest, we have zero people pictures on the wall in this house, sadly in the digital age, we have taken all our pictures either on a cell phone or digital camera and all are on either a memory card, phone, or laptop. We have some pictures on CD. Our wedding pictures are all on high quality cd and in a special photo book by the photographer. We really need to get some pictures of our wedding and of our 2 additions, our sweet little ones, on the wall.

I was super happy to have the opportunity to review a photo to canvas print company, called Canvas HQ. At the time of writing this posting, if you connect with them on Facebook, you can get 25% off your order. The website is easy to browse and select your desired options. Canvas HQ uses artisan-quality canvas with "lifelong UV- and water-resistant inks." Their printers use "solvent-based ink" which is more durable, resists moisture and fading. The colors on our canvas are super rich and luxurious. We chose a 10" X 15" x 1.5" size with a semi-gloss finish, which is somewhat reflective and has the appearance of an oil painting on canvas. You can chose the semi-gloss like we did, or if you prefer a matte finish which is more of a glare-free image and softer, more "matte" colors. The third option is Glossy, which is exactly how it sounds. It is the shiniest and most reflective of the 3 finishes.

There are options for everyone! You can choose a custom size to fit your needs. With sizes ranging from 6" to 96", you will have no problem fitting your canvas in your space, whether you live in a tiny apartment or dorm room, a cottage in the country, a home with a big family, or even a massive corporate building. The options go on from there, you can choose how thick you want the canvas ("3/4 to 2.5"), and if you want image wrap (where your image stretches around the sides of the frame) or color on the edges. We chose a simple white with no image wrap for our wedding photo, our thickness was 1.5". There is also an option called "mirroring" and this is where the sides of your picture are "mirrored" around the sides.

You can even do image effects such as sepia, black and white, brightening, etc. Here are the options in more detail image effects.

The company is really thorough in the entire ordering process, they are quick in communication, and they are experts in what they do. They strive for 100% customer satisfaction, and send you an email of your photography as a proof. You approve before it arrives to you. They offer a money back guarantee: "if you are unhappy with your artwork when you receive it, you have 30 days to let us know, and we will give you a full refund." They stand behind their products, they even provide a lifetime guarantee that each canvas "will not fade, crack, or bubble."

Artwork will normally ship within 2-3 business days after you approve your proof. Proofs are normally sent within one business day of your order. My proof was accurate, and I was sent a tracking number for my order so I could check on it along the shipment. My canvas arrived in a box and had plastic wrap over my canvas. It arrived safely with no damage, however I do think it would have been best if they have put packing peanuts or some sort of soft padding just in case to stabilize and pad the canvas during shipment.

The colors on my canvas are bright, sharp and flawless. There are no strong odors. I am really glad I ordered from them, and would be happy to order from them again. I highly recommend this company.
