Sabi Shake Pill Box: Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Today I will be reviewing the Sabi Shake flip top travel pill dispenser. This blue and white cup shaped container is designed with the intention of dispensing only 1-2 pills at a time. At first I was puzzled at how this would help me particularly since I take several pills for prenatal and daily vitamins and they are a mix of sizes, types and shapes. I also was not sure which pills to put in this container as I would need to choose one type in order for this to function the way it was intended. Then I had an idea....

I decided (only after the testing of this product) I will put headache medication such as Tylenol in this Sabi shake container. This way it is something I can keep in the car glove box and have on hand. Since I only use 1-2 headache pills at a time, this would be the best use for my needs. The container is an attractive storage solution and easier to open than most medication bottles.

In order to use the Sabi shake, select the type of pill you want to store, (in my case it will be Tylenol) close the lid, shake the cup, open the lid and retrieve one or two pills from the tray. The first time I did this, 2 pills came out, and then I re-closed it and tried again, with the second time having only 1 pill dispensed. I am not sure if the size and shape of the pills will determine how well this works or not. If smaller pills are used, I am thinking there may be a difficulty in dispensing only 1-2 at a time. At the time of testing, I used some vitamin capsules, so the Tylenol was not used in the testing as I had not thought of using this for pain medicine at the time.

The blue and white Sabi cup SHAKE pill box lid has a date dial to track expiration of your medicine. At the bottom of the cup there is plug set into the bottom of the pill cup (stores the plug) in case you want to use the plug to plug the little dispenser hole when traveling.

This seems like a well made little container. It is comfortable to hold and is BPA free. I am not sure if I would purchase this for myself as I normally store my vitamins in a weekly pill container. It would be good for someone who only takes one type of pill and who want to keep them in a nice looking, easy access storage cup. It would need to be kept away from young children as it is very easy to open.
