Green Gobbler Pure Cold Pressed ORANGE OIL Concentrate - 22 oz Review

I like using natural based cleaners and household products. I especially love essential oils and cleaning products made from citrus oils. I have made my own orange oil in the past with clementine and regular orange peels simmering on the stove, but it is nice to have a ready-made concentration on hand. I was sent Green Gobbler Concentrate in the 22 oz size for review.

According to the company, the orange oil used in this product is collected from the citrus peel during juice extraction and no heat is used during this process. This product contains over 90% D-Limonene which is an effective cleaner. It can act as an effective, biodegradable solvent and degreaser. Similar to how I simmer my oranges for a few hours on the stove, this product is extracted from the peel of oranges. I heat my orange peels, but this company does not use heat. This product is 100% natural and environmentally friendly. I love that it is made in the USA! It has a scent that is clean and does not bother my breathing.

The company describes it as non-toxic, but please exercise caution around young children. I want to mention that the Amazon listing (and possibly other websites) lists this as food grade, but do not assume that it is, and I would not refer to it as safe to accidentally or purposefully ingest. The seller commented on the Amazon listing, "We are not a food grade facility. This product is NOT made to be consumed." Please be careful if using on toys that would be put into the mouth of a small child. I personally would not recommend it for baby/toddler toys. I used this to remove (significantly lighten) black marker from the face of my 3 1/2-year-old son's Superman Barbie, but he has long been out of the stage of toy chewing. The black mark was much darker before I snapped the photo, but I was halfway through removing the black mark when I realized I needed to photograph the removal. The Green Gobbler was able to lighten the marker on the doll and did not leave any sticky residue or discoloration. I recommend it for crayon marks as well. :) I have added some crayon masterpieces from overly excited, deep-in-concentration coloring. I do not allow the children to make crayon doodles on the table, walls or furniture, but often the 3-year-old does not stay on the paper. Please note, that the majority of our crayons are the non-washable kind, and crayon marks need more scrubbing than with the Crayola washable ones. We like the organization of our yellow crayon storage center, and so we often deal with scrubbing. The Green Gobbler was able to get the majority of marks (with scrubbing). We will need to apply it a few more times before the surface is completely clear.

The manufacturer says that some of the many uses include:

Window Cleaner, Kitchen and Bathroom countertops, Floors, Sinks, Bathtubs, Showers, Toilets, Carpets, Jewelry, Stove Tops, Upholstery, Ovens, Grills, Exhaust Hoods, Tape/Glue residue, Driveway Oil Spots, Drain lines, Air Freshener, etc

Please note, that I personally have only used it for cleaning sticky or soiled surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom and on marks such as marker and crayon. It has a fresh and pleasant smell that can freshen the air when used on a surface, but I would not recommend spraying it in the air randomly as an air-freshener. I use Pure Citrus air freshener for making our home smell nice.

I like using Green Gobbler for cleaning the greasy and food splattered stove after cooking on the stove. I do not have any before and after pictures, as meal preparation times are pretty hectic around here in a small kitchen with 3 small children either underfoot or constantly reminding us they are hungry. :) We generally clean up messes as we go when cooking.

I like that this is concentrated and you mix the exact amount you need with water, based on the level of cleaning you will need. The side of the bottle provides recommendations. We used the medium level of concentration. This is the amount we have used after a month of daily use. We like this product and use it daily. *This was sent to me complimentary for review. This is my own experience with the product.
