Tinker Block Toys - Building Blocks Set (Safari) Review
I was sent another bristle comb set from the same company that I reviewed recently. In my previous review, I mentioned that these are very similar to the similar well known bristle block toys. This brand is "Tinker Blocks." I do find it slightly confusing as the name reminds me of Tinker toys which is a vintage toy that is quite different than these. This particular building set consists of 100 various shapes and styles of bristle blocks and 3 safari figures (1 man, a zebra and lion). The colors are bright and this toy keeps my almost 3 year old (an his 6 year old sister) happy for a good hour or more at a time. This set is very similar to the farm set that I reviewed, except for the figures. I like having the 2 sets of blocks when 2 or more children are playing. I like that this set also has a reusable zippered tote bag for easy clean up and storage. This set does have 100 blocks, while the farm set has 150. Both children enjoy this toy and I love that there are no sounds or flashing lights.
I do notice that there is a bit of paint fume odor that takes a couple days to air out. The figures are not as nice quality as I would have liked. (same quality as the farm set). I do not have any issues with the bristle blocks. The pieces fit together flush and for now, there has not been any broken pieces after a month of normal play. The wheels are by far the favorite for both children. I would recommend doubling the amount of wheels in each bag. We like this set and recommend it. At the current price of under $20, it compares to similar items of other brands.
This was sent to me for review, and I was not compensated for this post (other than being sent the item complimentary for review purposes).
