I was recently sent (scent, haha) some tea light candles from Enlightened Ambience. I love using candles for ambience (like the name implies) and fragrance. I am always fond of either deep musky vanilla or sandalwood scents or baked goods. The company sent me a bulk box of 24 candles for review. These are Black Amber scented votive with a hint of enticing Sandalwood. These are said to be long burning (14-16 hours) although I have not tested the exact length of time. I go through candles frequently so was happy to have so many to test. These are hand poured in the U.S.A. with a cotton wick. These measure 2 inches tall, they seem pretty standard in size.
Tea lights may seem to some individuals, a rather one function item. Often when you think of tea lights you do not get very excited as they are so small and can only just sit on a decorative plate, but for me, I use them to give new life to tired, worn out candles that have no wick left and are stuck in their jar, unloved and unused. I had 2 small Mason jar candles from a few months ago that I did not know what to do with. I wanted to keep them as I loved the jar, but the wick was buried inside the candle so I used 2 of these candles to reuse the jar. It may look a little strange at first since the tea light is sticking up, but after a few short hours, it evens across when it melts and looks like a normal candle. I realize this is too-toned and it would be ideal to use the same color tea light. My previous candle was vanilla cream so it blends well fragrance wise.
These functioned just as I would hope and expect from a candle. They smelled nice, but if you are sensitive, please note that this particular one is VERY potent when opening the box, and lasts for several days before toning down. I actually stowed an un-lit tealight in several nooks of my home to act as an air refresher.
These were sent to me complimentary, and all opinions are my own. These are available on Amazon and are priced at just under $30 for the set of 24.
