Mira Stainless Steel Lunch Jar: Pink of course! Reviewed

I love pink, and I have a pink item to review for you today. It is the Mira stainless steel, vacuumed insulated 10 oz food jar. This a a cute little jar designed to keep foods cool or hot. We have only used it for cool foods and snacks since I am a stay at home mommy and both children are here with me. I like how this can keep fresh fruit cool, or protect crunchy snacks from getting crushed. Bonus points for the pretty rosy pink color, it is definitely the perfect vintage pink. It matches our pink kitchen aid and 60's floral curtains. :)

It is a high-quality, insulated food jar from MIRA. I have not tried this idea yet, but you could cut a deli sandwich into little finger sandwich squares and stack a few of them on top of each other for a child's lunch, to keep the sandwich from getting soggy or crushed. My daughter is 3 1/2 and does not go anywhere without her Annie's Cheddar bunnies or Whole Foods 365 brand Cheddar Duck crackers. This keeps them from getting crumbled. We probably will only use this for fruit and snack items right now as our 2 little ones are not in school yet. This is a great item for the diaper bag or car organizer bag for trips and outings.

We love the color green in this home, so we are interested in getting the green one that is also available.

This reusable jar is BPA free, contains no phthalates, and boasts a premium grade 18/8 entirely stainless steel interior. This product is made of quality, long-lasting materials.

This has a wide mouth and and so it is easy to fill, eat from, and is easy to clean. Please note that this needs to be hand washed. For this reason, we do not put saucy items in it, however it is meant for hot foods as well. So you could put chili or soup in it if you want. The stainless steel interior and specially-insulated lid of the jar allows chilled food to remain cold for up to 10 hours (according to the manufacturer) and hot food hot for up to 5 hours (according to the manufacturer). This would be a great little jar to put hot mac and cheese in for a child's lunch, they would be the envy of all their friends!

It is a generous size for a small child. It is 10oz (300ml) and as mentioned, a sandwich cut into small squares would fit, or a fruit bowl of grapes, apples, strawberries, blueberries, etc. or perhaps some warm oatmeal with berries to be eaten for a breakfast to go on the bus or car ride?

We like how this is 100% BPA free and contains no phthalates. Sadly this is not dishwasher safe--which makes it a little inconvenient for those who want to put messier foods such as soup, chili, stew, mac and cheese, sides, etc. This is not too big of a problem currently for us and we use this for snack items that are easily hand washed. What we really do not like is that this is made in CHINA. :(

It measures approximately 3 3/4" x 4 ½"

- Not microwaveable (makes total sense--it is stainless steel!!)
- Not dishwasher safe
