How many times have you been either out of gas or broken down and need to call for help and your cell phone is dead or almost dead? I had always wanted to try those mini instant charging systems that act as a backup charging station. The kind that can fit in a purse or car glove compartment. I was super excited when I received the LIFEGUARD MINI 1 portable charger. This little dandy device charges not only a cell phone, but also works for most MP3 players and cameras. It comes in 3 different color choices of fuchsia pink, black or silver. I really had wanted the pink but at the time it was not available so I selected the silver. The silver is quite a looker and could be used for a guy or gal.

In the box I received a simple user manual, micro USB cable, lightning cable, and the charger itself. My husband and I have older phones, Samsung Galaxy S3's and this works well to charge them both. We also have a digital camera, so this will be very useful to capture those special moments of of 2 young children.

I agree with this statement above, they really do care about their customers. I found their customer service to be nothing short of STELLAR. I had a problem with my first charger unit. It plugged in and the light would only partially come on when charging. My cable would not fully charge it even after an entire day of being plugged in. I contacted the point of contact for the company and they sent me out a replacement. The replacement works wonderfully.

I am quite happy with this little charger. I can connect it to my laptop's USB port, but I found that it does not charge as fast. I plug it into my USB wall ac adapter and it charges fully in about 3-4 hours. This easily fits in a purse, pocket, or backpack. This is great for keeping in the car.
