Decorative Craft Washi Masking Tape (Set of 12 Rolls) by United Tapes (Review)

I stay busy with a 5 year old, 2 year old, and 6 week old. We have doctors appointments and varying schedules. I love my Filofax planner. It is the patent leather in the color nude beige. I love how it has a vintage feel to it. I am not one to overly decorate my planner with a massive amount of stickers and tapes, but I do like to lightly accent the dividers and put a colorful tape on a page that needs attention. Washi tape is perfect for this purpose. It is budget friendly, colorful and fairly easy to remove to re-use or reposition. I was sent a set of 12 washi tape rolls from United Tapes.  The company sells on Amazon and for right now only has the one mixed set.  The price seems about right (perhaps slightly higher than other sets on Amazon) for the washi market, however I ended up only liking abut half of the colors/patterns.  I would prefer the company sell their tape in groupings of pinks tones, orange tones, etc.  When I purchase washi tape, I generally buy them in themes (chevron and houndstooth pattern sets, all pink and purple tones, mermaid tones, metallics, etc.)

Since I only use a certain shade range of washi tape, the other colors do not get much use from me.  I seem to lean towards pinks, purples, peaches, greens, gold/silver, black, aqua/mint green as well as chevron, houndstooth, and dots.  I am not so fond of the yellows or reds, blue (primary colors), or stars and stripes.  I like stars, but in my planner I only use certain color themes.  In this mix, I probably will only use the chevrons/black/pinks/purples, the grass green dots, and the pink arrows, which is only 5 rolls of the 12.  I realize this set of 12 rainbow mixed shades appeals to more people, and that I am in the minority.

The tapes are easy to remove and reposition.  I have not used them hand-torn as some people might (I rather cut with scissors) prefer, however they are easy to tear if desired.  They arrived in a cardboard box and each roll is individually sealed which is a great bonus.  These seem to compare to other washi tape in quality and other than the limitation of selected colors/styles, I like the set.  These (and washi tape in general) are a nice way to brighten up your planner, a greeting card or envelope.

These were sent to me for review and this is my personal evaluation of them.  I was not compensated for my review, other than a free sample.
