100% Natural Arabica Coffee Scrub 12 fl. oz. Review

I like using natural ingredient cosmetics and body care items as they are more nourishing to my skin and health.  I have been sulfate free for over 3 years and I read ingredient labels before using products on my skin.  I was recently sent a body scrub complimentary to evaluate.  The brand is from First Botany.  This is made with coffee and smells absolutely delicious.  Any coffee lovers reading this? :)

This 100% Natural Arabica Coffee Scrub in a 12 oz jar contains gourmet coffee grounds, fantastic for softening skin as it scrubs away dirt and dead skin cells, while the caffeine awakens and brightens skin.  Caffeine will stimulate blood flow, reducing the appearance of cellulite, eczema, stretch marks, age spots, varicose veins and psoriasis.  Many high end facial creams contain caffeine for these purposes.

Securely sealed for freshness and so it does not spill out during shipment.

This is packed full to the top and is not watered down or thinned out.  This provides wonderful exfoliation.  You could add a few pinches of the scrub crystals to your natural ingredient face wash (into the palm of your hand) if you want a gentler scrub.

Cruelty free and Nourishing for skin!

This also contains Coconut Oil, Olive oil, Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Grape Seed Oil which are ingredients I use on almost a daily basis for my skin and hair care needs.  Oils are wonderful for skin and  beautify, heal, and protect.   Coconut Oil is highly antibacterial, healing, and moisturizing to your skin.  I use pure, unrefined virgin coconut oil to oil pull my mouth each evening before brushing my teeth.  I am hoping to help remineralize some trouble spots on my teeth.  Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter are high in antioxidants, which nourish and protect the skin, promoting cell repair and rejuvenation.  I use a mixture of Coconut oil, Shea and Cocoa Butter for hand, body and diaper balm in our household.  I always add my Calendula petal infused Jojoba / Argan oil to the balm and often add in a few essential oil drops.  This coffee scrub also contains Dead Sea Salt which will further exfoliate your skin, removing dull layers of skin, and impurities that clog pores.

Benefits of using this Scrub:

Exfoliates your skin

Restores elasticity
Increases circulation
Super Hydration
Boosts cell turnover
Reduces fine lines
Repairs damage from sun spots
Reduces inflammation
Evens skin tone Brightens and softens skin

I have used this scrub on my face and body.  It may be too harsh for those with overly sensitive skin (my husband says this made his face too pink for his liking--but he is not used to using scrubs very often).  I have been using microdermabrasion crystals, scrubs, mits, and even derma rollers for a few years, and so I am used to frequent exfoliation and deeper forms of scrubbing.

This coffee scrub did not cause any issues for my face or body.  I find that this scrub is wonderful for doing a pre-shave exfoliation on my legs.  This smooths the surface of my legs, which helps the hair to be lifted and ready for a perfect shave (I use a vintage Lady Gillette Safety razor and a vintage shaving brush).  It is not recommended to use after shaving, however I have used it this way with only minimal redness.  (I have been using my safety razor for about 2 1/2 years and am very careful in how much pressure I put on the blade, the angle, and the speed.  I rarely get knicks or razor burn.

I really like this scrub and recommend it.  It is pretty concentrated with salts and grounds, and so it is not thinned out with liquids.  I find that a little goes a long way and this size of jar should last you a while depending on how you use the scrub.  I have used this about twice a week for a month and still have an incredible amount of product remaining.  I received this complimentary and this is my honest evaluation of the scrub.
