GreatValueSG Natural Bamboo Charcoal Air Purifying Deodorizer Bag Review

We use cloth diapers (Bum Genius 4.0 snaps and some cotton hemp prefolds with snap covers) and so we have some rather pungent odors in our bathroom on a daily basis.  We use a plastic "odor free" sealed diaper pail which we love, and it keeps unpleasant odors from inhabiting our bathroom and master bedroom, but when the lid is opened, we are treated with a horrendous stench.  We have a diaper pail liner which helps some, but is not 100% perfect.  I was happy overjoyed to be sent a charcoal packet to review as I have wondered about them.  A brand called Great Value SG sent me 1 bamboo packet to try.  It is designed to work for about 2 years of continuous odor.  :) I like how it ties on to whatever needs freshening and goes to work quite quickly.  I love how it is able to be refreshed in the sun after a few hours. (We sun out diapers when we have stains, so this is easy to remember to do).

This is 100% organic bamboo charcoal crystals which removes odors, moisture, toxic chemicals, bacteria, by absorption.  It prevents mold and mildew as well.  All of the above issues are what makes this perfect for us to use in our diaper pail.  We hang it right under the lid, inside the container.

Odors are absorbed and removed.  We do not use traditional aerosols or room sprays, except for a 100% orange essential oil non aerosol room spray.  The charcoal bag is in a blue linen bag and is said to cover up to 70 sq feet area---definitely bigger than our 14 gallon pail.  This works well after a few days of absorption.

This can be used in various places in the home such as fridge, freezer, closets,  attics, basements, bedrooms, and in the car.  I wanted to test it in the stickiest of areas, as we need all the help we can get. :) I generally wash diapers every other day, so a day and a half of diapers gets pretty stinky.

I find that this does not make it completely odorless, but helps greatly and I am glad we are using it.  I love the fact that it works for so long.  A box of baking soda works as well, but can be messy if knocked over, and is not easy to put in certain areas.  This is safe for various areas and will not leave a mess.

*I received 1 charcoal packet for review, all opinions are my own.
