VoilaVe Total Youth Eye Gel: Reviewed

I have been trying a 50% lactic acid peel the last two 1/2 weeks.  I had never done a peel of that sort before and wasn't sure what to expect.  It suggested that those with sensitive skin or those who had not used a lactic acid peel previously to start with only leaving the product on for one minute, and then rinse it off with cold water to neutralize.  It was suggested that I not use it again for another seven days.

The first time I used the peel I made sure to follow the directions.  The second time it was used, I left it on for three minutes and didn't have any real problems except that I was a little bit pink if it felt like a mild itching and slight stinging.  I should have not tried to speed up the process, but only 2 days later I applied the peel for 1 minute.  My face was sore, grumpy, red, and needed something to cool it.  I had remembered that an eye gel I was testing on my eye area and forehead area had aloe vera and cucumber in it and so I applied it all over my unhappy, sore, and very uncomfortable face.  Immediately the skin felt a lot better.  It was still pink and stinging from my over use of the peel, but it felt so much better and my skin felt soft when it absorbed. The eye product I have been using is from VoilaVe and I recommend you try it if you are wanting something to cool, soothe, and treat your irritated, tired or aging skin.

VoilaVe is a product brand I have used previously for various skin oils, masks, and anti-aging creams.  I have yet to find something from their company that I do not like.  This particular product is made from 100% organic natural ingredients and there are no parabens, sulfates or alcohol.  That is definitely reassuring since the peel was designed to remove layers from my skin with an acid peeling and drying process.  I did not want to apply anything harsh on my skin following the treatments, and certainly not alcohol.

As with a couple of their products, this also contains Plant Stem Cells, along with Matrixyl 3000 and Hyaluronic Acid.  These products assist with skin healing and premature aging of delicate facial skin.  It is specifically designed for use around the eyelid and under eye area, however, since trying it all over my face, I have found it to work wonderfully on my entire face and my skin feels soft, hydrated, and soothed.  I have used pure aloe vera gel for years when I have sun burn skin, immflamation, and irritation.  Cucumber has been added for an anti-inflammatory effect that reduces puffiness.  I am sure we are all familiar with seeing cucumber slices on tired, baggy eyelids and dark undereye areas.  This gel provides a similar effect, yet absorbs into the skin so that you do not need to lay on your back with vegetables on your face. :)

The eye gel is called Total Youth Eye Gel and comes in a 1.7 oz airless pump which dispenses the product conveiniently and without bacteria contaminating the gel.  The container is easy to hold and the gel is dispensed easily without clogging.  I have been using it everyday, on non peel days and immediately after peels.  The fragrance is light and natural.  You can purchase this on Amazon.

** Please note that this was sent to me for reviewing purposes, and this is my honest opinion and individual experience.  This has been used for 3 weeks, and I am still using it with positive results.**
