Luxe Beauty Essentials Hair Towel: Reviewed

I have not used a hair dryer regularly in years, probably at least 2 or 3. In fact, when my mom was here last, she asked to use my hair dryer and I had to think a moment where I had stored it. It was back corner of my bathroom in a basket of unused items. It was a bit funny and slightly embarrassing as I had to actually dust if off before giving it to her to use. :)(No judging, I use a lot of dry shampoo hair powder and that stuff gets airborne!)

I wash my hair only twice a week now since being sulfate and chemical free, my hair does not generate much, if any oil until day four. The more you wash your hair, and the sulfates you put on your hair to strip it clean, actually cause more oil production. I gave up all sulfates almost 1 1/2 years ago, and so my hair is naturally glossy, more wavy, and manageable. I wash it around 1 in the afternoon (as that is when both kids are generally in bed for a nap--I stay crazy busy during the day with mommy stuff, house stuff, and blogging/product reviewing), and I pencil in my shower after lunch. This time of day works decently well since my husband does not get home until often 6 pm, so if we need to run a quick errand when he gets home, my hair is generally partially dry, as long as I do not put it up in a wet bun ponytail. I have some microfiber hair turbans that have loops on them that I use to dry my hair.

I recently was sent a microfiber towel for review. This towel is from Luxe Beauty Essentials and is available on Amazon: Here

I really like this towel, it is super soft and absorbent. The size is 19 x 39 inches and it is made from brushed terry microfiber. I have used it on my hair and it does not snag my hair or cause it to tangle. The size is nice so that you do not have a heavy towel weighing down your head when you sit and do makeup or skincare after a shower. In high school and college I would use a standard size towel on my wet head and it was too bulky and top heavy and uncomfortable.

I would have liked this towel to have the little elastic loop that my hair drying turbans have, to hold it in place while I apply skin care then makeup. I have very thick hair that takes a long time to dry and also sometimes my hair has difficulty staying in the towel all the way. This does remove the excess water from my hair, allowing me to air dry much faster. I have air dried my hair for years, and this helps speed things up.

I like this towel, It is a cozy towel at first touch. I washed it before using, and it stayed nice after the first wash. I am not sure how soft this particular towel will stay after repeat washings, (over months of use) as in my experience with microfiber in the past, it gets rough. I am disappointed that it is not made in the USA.

To keep your towel looking its best for as long as possible: do not bleach this towel and do not use high heat to dry this.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
