Crave Naturals Eyebrow and Eyelash Brush Kit: Reviewed

I used to be blessed with thick eyebrows. I remember a picture of me in 8th grade with thick jet black eyebrows reminiscent of Elizabeth Taylor. Not kidding. But back then, thin was much more in, and so I tweezed them with a cheapy tweezer purchased from the drugstore. I luckily never over tweezed to the point of a harsh pencil line, but many years of obsessively grooming and keeping them "tidy," I no longer have the lush vintage 40's 50's 60's Hollywood eyebrows I so desperately want.

I hardly tweeze anymore, in fact I have not really groomed them much in the last 6 months to a year, as they just seem to not need much tweezing at all. They do however get a bit unruly and long in some areas where they look a bit like an old man. I usually would use an old toothbrush and brush them upwards and then use some tiny mustache scissors to trim the excess length.

It is not the most precise or most classy method of grooming, however it worked for me. A few weeks ago my results have improved a bit from a recent product I have tried. The product is a set of simple eyebrow grooming tools we all have seen in various makeup kits but usually in 4 individual tools. The Eyebrow and Eyelash Brush Kit from Crave Naturals are 4 tools with only 2 product sticks. This takes up less space and is easier to take with you. I love how this comes in a reusable retro inspired cylinder cardboard tube.

Here is some info about this set:

Spoolie & Angled Brow Brush:

The spoolie end is like a mascara wand without the mascara. It comes in quite handy. I use this to brush my eyebrows into place before I begin grooming with my mustache scissors or before filling in sparse areas with powder (I use the angled brush to apply powder/color). I do not always use powder on my eyebrows, but I do like to calm them down a bit. I spray a small amount of hairspray on my spoolie and then brush over my brows.

If you do decide to fill in with some color, you do not have to use special brow filler, often you can find a matching eyeshadow that you already have and use that to lightly fill in. Too light or too dark can look obvious or unnatural. After filling in your brows use the spoolie to soften any harsh lines and create a natural look. Like I mentioned above, some hairspray on the spoolie works nicely.

Brow Brush & Eyelash Comb:

If your mascara applied too thick or has some clumps, you can lightly separate your eyelashes with the eyelash comb. The brow brush is another option for taming and brushing brows if the spoolie is not working to your liking.
