26 oz Flavfusion Fruit Infusion Water Bottle: Reviewed

I like to drink water as I know how much better I look and feel when my body is hydrated. My hair is softer, fuller, healthier, my skin is clearer, my immune system is stronger, I have more energy, and I know how important it is for me as a nursing mommy to drink plenty of fresh water. Sometimes drinking so much water all day, each and every day gets a little bland. I love putting lemon in my water, but what about strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, peaches or even watermelon? Oh the choices! It is super easy to infuse fruit (or even mint leaves) into water and I have been doing it much more lately now that I have a water bottle specifically designed for it.

My bottle is 26 oz and BPA FREE, LEAD FREE, and made out of PET plastic. PET is a new alternative to Polycarbonate. This bottle has a basket inside made out of Polypropylene for the fruit to be inserted. I like using frozen fruit as that is what we usually have on hand (I love smoothies) and it makes for really cold water. :) It has a sturdy loop which means it can attach by a clip.

The name of the bottle is Flavfusion. For this particular refreshing drink, I used a frozen mix of blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries. My water turned a nice pinkish shade--which means it did its job. I like using this bottle, it is made in the USA, is safe to use, and is a nice generous size. There are a few aspects about it that I do not like. I do not mind that it is hand wash only, I tend to hand wash similar items even when they say they are dishwasher safe. I like how it seems to fit in a vehicle cup holder, however it makes my cup holder, hand, table, etc. wet with condensation after a few minutes. I would have liked this to be a double walled construction to keep my hands dry and so I do not feel the cold of the bottle. I also want to note that my particular bottle arrived with a dent in the side, about the size of a dime. The material of the bottle is rather thin, so I am not sure how long it will last or if my bottle will get more dents along the way with normal, but gentle use.

There is no straw in this, to drink from the bottle you must tilt it back. This is not really a terrible problem, however another bottle that I have has a straw and I have to remember to tilt this bottle back as I often forget. It also makes it not as convenient as it is not a safe option for driving as it hinders the view of the road. A straw option, like another bottle I have, makes for an easier use. I do understand, a straw is most likely not an option due to the inside basket. Other than the above aspects, I like the bottle. I think it works pretty well. After just 2 hours in the fridge it was a nice berry maroon shade. I imagine infusing over night would kick up the fruit by a lot.

Need ideas for flavor infusion? How about trying some sprigs of mint leaves, or cucumber?

This is what I started with. Frozen Berries.
Here is an impressive 2 hours in the fridge! Imagine the wonderful flavor and color if infused overnight!
