Luxe Pineapple Website and Lancome Benghal Collection Voyage Palette: Reviewed

I love makeup and beauty items.

When I was offered the opportunity to review a Lancome makeup palette, from the online cosmetic shop, LuxePinapple.com I was super ecstatic. LuxePineapple offers designer cosmetics and skincare such as MAC,Dior,YSL,LancĂ´me,Clinique & more at discounted prices. Think of it like an online TJ Max but WITHOUT any damaged items(My favorite place for high end bargains). According to their website, it is common for "manufacturers to liquidate overstocked, limited production or excess tester inventory. Just because we have low prices doesn’t mean we are selling “fake” or “knockoff” items. Most of our inventory arrives to our warehouse sealed and case packed. We don’t buy “shelf-pull” or store returned items. We don’t offer anything that in in less than pristine shape. Our inventory changes constantly. If you see something you like snatch it up before someone else does."

They have a nice selection of items. The prices range from just under $5 to around $50 depending on the brand and type of item. The website is extremely easy to navigate. You can organize your search by price range from low to high, title, manufacturer, etc. At the top of the page, it is arranged by type of product such as eyes or cheeks. Make sure to check out their Deal of the Day / Box of Joy which is a collection of items of various types and brands for a fantastic discount. This is a great way to try an assortment of brands that perhaps you have not tried before. They do sell out quickly, so if you see something you like, you better grab it. They post pictures of their deals on their Facebook Page. When visiting the Luxe website, be sure to enter your email address and get updated on sales and specials. If you need assistance, they do have a chat option or contact them on their facebook page. They are quick to respond and happy to help you find your perfect item to make you look and feel your very prettiest.

I was able to review a limited edition, Lancome makeup compact palette. The one I tried was Lancome Benghal Collection in Voyage. This is an attractive and colorful compact with 4 eye color focus shadows, one Le Rouge Absolu solid lip color in Rose Cashmere, and Blush Subtil in Brume Rose. The list price is $60, but on Lux it is only $30. This is a well made compact that opens and closes securely and would fit easily in a purse or carry on for travel. The compact comes with a foam tipped applicator for the shadows, a lip brush (that works quite well despite its size) and a brusher brush.

Here are the eye shadows swatched VERY heavily, I am unsure of what the names of these shades are.

The eye colors are a matte white, champagne beige (leans more on a yellow tone) with slight shimmer, a pale shell pink pearl shimmer (more shimmer than the beige shadow), and a deep smokey purple blue shimmer shade. I decided to wear the pink shimmer eye shadow, lipstick and blush. The eyeshadow was a bit lighter when applied than it appears in the pan. I do like this look, it is very natural and perfect for spring or summer. I would not wear this for a party, date night or a formal event as it is a bit pale. This is perfect for a nice day out shopping, meeting friends for lunch, school or church. The blush gives a healthy sweet glow, and looks very natural. The lipstick is a medium rose pink and applies very smooth and also looks natural. I do prefer to wear brighter eye colors but these colors seem to suit my pale skin tone and look nice with lined eyes.

I chose to pair the look with a bright pink top and pink hair flower. On my lashes I am wearing Benefit They're Real Mascara in black (favorite), and Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Carbon Black (also my favorite). Before applying the eyeshadow, I primed my lids with Urban Decay Primer Potion in original, and used Skin79 Super+ BB Cream Pink on my entire face, applied with my wet beauty blender sponge. I dusted Bare Minerals Mineral Veil in original over my face, then topped with the Lancome blush in Brume Rose, Lips in Lancome Rose Cashmere.

I would recommend this palette, it is easy to apply and travel friendly. The makeup wears well, lasts all day is beautiful. I will wear this frequently as it is a pretty look. The plastic compact is glossy smooth, opens easily, and is comfortable to hold. It is well constructed and does not feel cheap. I love the colors and look of the outside, I do wish the inside colors were brighter as the outside makes you think the inside is just as colorful and bright.

All LuxPineapple orders are packed and shipped from Quakertown, Pennsylvania. I had excellent customer service from Liz, the "Pineapple Queen." They ship priority mail and items arrive well padded and handled with care. An added bonus about LuxPineapple is that shipping is FREE.

If you found this review or any of my other reviews interesting or helpful, please rate is as "helpful" and or leave a comment. I enjoy writing reviews and hearing feedback about what I have written as I feel reviews help those interested make an informed decision before purchasing. I also feel that honest and informative reviews improve a product by providing insight to the company. I believe reviews should be honest no matter whether an item was free, at a discount, or purchased. I am not connected to this company or any of the companies of products that I review. I am not paid for my opinions and do not receive any benefit for any purchases made based on my review. I was sent this Lancome Benghal Palette in Voyage in exchange for an honest review.
